Viair Portable Filters

I just got a portable Viair compressor, and it came with a couple of filters. It also has a plastic filter housing. Here's the thing - I don't know if the two filters are spares, and there's one already in the housing, or if I'm supposed to put one of them in there. And ... I can't figure out how to open the darned plastic housing to check. (I'm also going to need to open it eventually to replace the filter anyway.) I tried twisting, prying, and Googling with no luck. Before I continue and break my brand new toy, I figure I'd ask for some guidance here since someone is bound to have a similar compressor.

twist / unscrew it, my came with a filter in it and never changed it on 10 years lol
