Just got my hydro blue tailgate table in the mail! Packed GREAT and real high quality!

Install question…

Has anyone just used an m8x16mm nut on the protruding tire carrier bolt for the VersaTable install?

The instructions tell me to take off the stock tire carrier bolt that protrudes thru the tailgate and to install the supplied shortened bolt…

was wondering if I could just leave that alone and use a nut on that already installed bolt with some blue loctite and call it a day.

seems like an easier option than messing with the tire carrier, especially since I have the oem 35’s.

That’s exactly how I installed mine. Picked up the nut at my local Ace Hardware store. I love my Versa Table!

Yes, I unwrapped the loom tape at the tail gate end and threaded the wire through using a welding rod as a fish tool. The welding rod also worked to poke an exit hole in the outer loom under the right quarter trim panel. I then ran the wire under the rear sill trim and tied it into the rear 12V outlet on the left quarter trim.

All done! Very easy…

used one of those lifetime tables and put it under the tailgate to use as leverage to get it on since I was installing solo.

lol so funny you say that, when I saw your Poplar I said to myself maybe I should have gone that route lol!

the bamboo and hydro blue match well tho

I used a nut from Home Depot for 21 cents and installed the table that way. Worked just fine. Was not about to take off the spare tire and pull the bolt and do that rigmarole for nothing lol
