And that is their problem, not ours. For those of us who knew they werent going to keep the vehicles, saw the fact that the PHEV\EV market was downhill depreciation more than the gas equivs, we will come out ahead on having a lease and will be the dealers issue at turn in. Stella and the finance companies fk'd themselves by overpricing these and allowing high residuals.
Looks like these guys got smart and tweaked the leasing game so people would not be profiting off the vehicle at the end of lease that's all, Stellantis will turn around and make money selling the off vehicle.

The person leasing now have to go out and find a vehicle to replace their turn in, rinse repeat.

No longer are the insane days when a 1-3 year old Wrangler resale was more than or close to the purchase price, I personally thought that was insanity back then, but I took advantage of it, a couple of times.

So I am thinking of getting something else (Santa Cruz) and here is the values I am getting for my 2023 Sahara (power top, cold weather pack, 66k MSRP):

Hyundi Dealer: 30k
Autonation: 32k
Private offers (31, 30.5 and 34k)
Carvana $32,800
Carmax range $31-40k
Edmunds Trade In 33,721.

Discuss.
But that's not a 4xe is it?

Let's see...

Notoriously unreliable vehicle - Check
New units being sold for 20k under MSRP - Check
Has had multiple recalls for fires (Including an active one) - Check
PHEV/BEV - Check

These things are being traded in left and right. Their used value has tanked hard in the last year or two because of the above. The main thing is the massive cuts under MSRP that's hurting you, as the average 4XE buyer has zero idea about their reliability issues. PHEV/BEVs in general also tank in value, it's just a thing. MSRP of these things should be mid 40s fully loaded. They're so overpriced at MSRP it's crazy.

I never understood this one. They're a FWD truck, it's so silly. It's just they're so damn cheap and the small truck segment is completely barren. They sell like hotcakes. If anything I hope it makes dodge bring back the Dakota. We need to bring back small/mid sized trucks again. The F150/Silverado/Ram 1500 is outrageously large.
ditto, however i bet the ranger keeps growing to be the size of my dads 76 F150.

The Dakota is coming back, looks like 2027 or 2028. I read an article about it the other day.

And as far as the size of trucks, no kidding. My F150 with a 6.5' bed is huge. I bought it 11 years ago, when I needed it. I keep it because it's paid for, and has no real issues to speak of. I tend to only drive it now when I need a truck.

Rangers, and the GM twins look pretty good to me as far as size. But, it amazes me how little interior space there is compared to the external dimensions. The back seats are nearly useless. The best size truck I had was a GMT400 1994 GMC extended cab. Those were great trucks, especially prior to the Vortec years.
