Second time using my winch today (first time I used the Tazer to increase engine idle with 5 seconds on/5 seconds off). Today I used it to pull some cattle guard out from the weeds and didn’t follow the on/off rule as closely nor did I increase the engine speed.

When I was done and hopped in the Jeep I noticed the check engine light was on. I quickly checked it out using the Tazer, but no DTC’s appeared. I then popped on my BlueDriver scan tool and it found this code: B21E3 “APM Current Sensor - Over Current.”

I’m assuming it has something to do with the auxiliary or main battery on my 3.6L ETorque.

I have my Noco battery charger plugged in for the night and will probably clear the code tomorrow and get on with Jeepin’ and see if the code reappears.

Anyone know exactly what happened?

Isn't there a battery health sensor right there on the cable next to the positive terminal? Wouldn't be surprised if that is where it originated. Fingers crossed you're all good after a restart. I fried the wifes battery re-spooling her winch line though...
