I’ve been rolling on a 3.5 RC lift for a few years now. I have no real complaints. It drives nice and recently I found it actually flexes very well. I digress.
Ive been interested in upgrading since it’s mostly a daily driver.

At first I was going to remove the whole kit and put a MC Gamechanger Lift in but its a little too pricy for me.
Th RC lift already has adjustable track bar, adj control arms as well as a new fromt driveshaft. (I know the metalcloak components are way better but….)

*****Im thinking now of simply upgrading to fox2.0 shocks and upgrading the RC coils to Metalcloak.*****

Has anyone done something similar?
What were your results?
Am I in the correct in thinking this is a simple/cheaper upgrade that will make a huge improvement in ride quality on and off road?

Thanks, I appreciate your input!

Anyone out there actually upgrade their RC lift vs just replacing it?

Here is what I would do if the cost is the main constraint:

Step 1: Swap out the springs and shocks. That's less than $1,000 and should address the ride significantly.

Step 2: Upgrade the trackbars to MC, or which ever brand you prefer. If you do not observe any play or experience any wobble, its totally fine to keep the RC parts.

Step 3: Upgrade your control arms. Again, if the bushings are good, its fine too keep them.

Step 4: if you want stronger drive shaft, upgrade it later with Tom wood, JE, or Adams.

Thank you. That’s pretty close to what I was thinking. Glad to hear I’m in the right track.

When upgrading the coils and shocks is there any other component that has to do with the coils that I should upgrade at the same time since it’s apart?
