I've been thinking about those myself. I've watched their install video 20 times! They look sweet too.

How do you like 'em? better stopping power? Was it as simple as bleeding the brakes after install? I read in another post that showed how to bleed the ABS of air using a scanner?
One really nice feature of the Teraflex units are the calipers are from something like a Dodge Ram, so there is a large selection of pad options. My memory might be off on the specifics for what vehicle the pads come from, but when I talked with Teraflex that was something I wanted and the pads are not unique to their calipers.

I put Baer brakes on my front and rear and have very happy. But I drive fast and like to stop fast, I don't do much slow technical stuff. They work best when they get some heat but wouldn't recommend them for slow crawl obstacle stuff. Their kits will work on the 392

I haven’t gotten them back from the shop, hopefully Saturday. One thing I didn’t realize is how noticeable they are from the rear, even inside the wheel well. I powder coated mine gold like the front tow hooks but they really look nice in the back and add to the aesthetic. Hopefully I have additional great stopping power too, will keep you posted

It was a Toyota of some sort.

On our Delta brake kits the pads and pad hardware are from a 2015 Toyota Tundra, and any off the shelf pad kit for that application should work without issue.

The Big Brake kit we have for the JK's is the kit that uses the Ram based parts, parts from a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 to be exact. Pads, pad hardware, and related caliper hardware uses that application.

Never realized how much of the brakes you could see from the rear. Visually much more appealing. Will post pics this weekend

I'm considering your complete brake kit front and rear for my JLUR. Can you provide some specifications on these? I'm interested in pad area and piston area in comparison to stock.
Thank you.

Yeah I need to do them on my 392 XR, but I don't see them offered yet for it. Any idea when they will come out with a kit?

I have a Sport S without the HD brakes. There was a noticeable difference between my JL and my JT in braking force. Not as responsive, and much more pedal force required to get the same amount of braking. Not wanting to do an entire brake kit, I went with the Hawk LTS pads and Hawk Talon rotors. They’re noisy, very dirty, but provide a significant improvement in performance. They feel very similar to the JT’s brakes now.

Granted, this is at the expense of them throwing a lot of dust, significantly reduced life, and noise at light application, but the performance is worth it for me.

Drilled/ slotted rotors aren’t the best choice for an off road vehicle, but I haven’t had an issue with mud yet. Greatly reduced fade on high speed stops though.

If you were referring to the Teraflex Delta brake kits, they don't seem to distinguish between the 392 and other models. I don't know if this means their kit will fit or they just don't have one for your Jeep. Worth a phone call to find out. I'd guess they'll fit your 392.

The Delta brake fit and work on the 392's no issue at all, they're a direct plug and play. We've got two 392's running Delta brake kits currently. The only noteworthy things is the Delta calipers don't clear the factory 392 wheels however due to the increase in caliper size, and the shape of the wheel center. The factory wheels on the XR/392 XR are currently untested by us at the moment.

Can you provide the piston area and pad area of these brakes?

I don't have the exact specs you are looking for, but the rear calipers use x4 1.375 pistons, and the front uses x4 2.000 diameter pistons. The brake pads we include in the Delta kits are from a 2015 Toyota Tundra.

Thanks for the reply. This helps me in deciding on your kit.

2" pistons x4 is over 12 sq/in of piston area (or 6 sq/in as it is commonly quoted for one side of the caliper only) on the fronts
1.375 pistons x4 is almost 6 sq/in of piston (3 sq/in as commonly quoted) area on the rears
Both of those are huge and on that alone has the competition beat.
Combined with the 14" rotors and these brakes should stop extremely well.

BTW, the front caliper piston area on the Teraflex Delta is 16% larger than my Wilwood 6 piston set on my GMC 4x4 Crewcab, which specs out at 5.4 sq/in, and that truck is maybe 1000lbs or more heavier the way I have it configured.

Looks like a nice setup there, have you been happy w/ the braking performance?
