Understanding LED factory

Why cant I just put in a LED bulb into my wrangler? lol Whats with the factory versions being all tricked out like some kinda Johnny 5 eyeball.

If you had ever fooled with aftermarket LED's on a JK you would not be asking this in regard to the JL. Do a little Google research on this. There's more to it then just putting in the "LED bulb".

From what Im hearing and reading ...its not just the headlamps in the LED pkg.
- tail lights
- back up lights
- interior overhead lights
- fog lights
- and I think the turn signals are also LED

I could live with just having led headlights. I don't really like the way the led taillights look when lit either. the pattern shape is odd.

There's jeep emblems all over this rig and if you look at them again they resemble a top view of a jeep

It’s not a simple answer. You can’t just throw on LEDs and voila. A simple google search would get you the answer. “How to replace halogen with LEDs.”

The reason the factory uses a projecter for LED and Hid lamps is the bowl is required to disperse a proper beam pattern with sharp cutoff so it does not blind oncoming traffic .

I can't find the answer in the owner's manual, but does anyone know how to adjust the beam pattern down on the factory LED headlights?
