underseat battery??

2x100ah agm/gel is going to be heavy about 66lbs each, also take into consideration that you should only discharge them to 50% so instead of being a 100ah its really more like 50ah, so your total capacity isnt 200ah is only 100ah, one more thing whats your discharge rate ? the more amps you pull the less you will get out of it due to Peukert's law, if you load is 0.1c (10amp) load on a single 100ah battery then you should be fine, you will be able to get 50ah before it starts dipping below 11.9v however at 1c (100amp) load you will get less than a few mins if that before it dips into the 10v range. also 1 single 200ah is better than 2x100ah.

I am more conservative by preference to get a little more life given the temp I am usually in. but. the charge rate vs load should keep me in the safe zone me thinks didn't do all the math.

was still in the planning stage and was hoping that someone might know of a battery tray specifically for underseat or someone that did this exact thing. I could learn a few tips from... and then move to building it the fun part but looks like I'll need to cad one n have a local metal shop make it for me. was thinking something that will fit into the existing seat holes with vertical risers to mount pwr distro blocks n fuses etc. and maybe a skinny strip for cable mgt. and some batt hold downs built in along w/a way to attach. a plastic cover. to protect the terminals . but. gotta leave enough room for the seats and a safety anti crush bar incase something heavy on seats won't crush batts. not sure if needed. not an expert just trying to figure it out... that part would be kinda. stealth but. I'll angle the fuse blocks. such that you can get to it easy . crazy project maybe I should increase my jump switch so when I winch. the batts will come together hmmm great idea forgot about that-TC , and everyone. tnx

great idea but moto battery way less then 100a, and LI at rated size way to $$. but if prices come down def lots of advantages over agm /gel

Look at the amaron sleek batteries ive seen them put behind the seats in single cab pickups, you wont find a ready made bracket for the jl, i would not mount them under the rear seat since you wont be able to fold the seats anymore, i have thought to them between the roll bar and glass in the rear to either side or have them lay flat in the cargo area, if you must have them under the seat, i would just find a fabricator and get some brackets done, they should hold the battery down using the rear seat floor bolts, you only need to prevent excess movment.

You bring up a good point, my warn winch pulls 400amps.. batteries go quick..

I wouldnt buy this battery, seems too good to be true, i live in kuwait and the cost of shipping here with everything i buy is as much as the items themselves, we use batteries here to run instant pots, hotplates, water kettles and just heavy draw electrical appliances, a instant pot for example draws 1500w thats 125amps, I am thinking about my coming overland build and after considering the safety and the temp range of these batteries, lifeypo4 by winston Has "Operating temperature -45°C up to 85°C (discharging)" thats -49f up to 185f which is what they will see here, however the easier setup im going to go with is a high output at idle alternator (still looking), a optima yellow top and just run my inverter while the jeep is running, they should charge up pretty fast, The con is you need to run the engine for a few mins every time the battery gets down to 12.0v. Again this all depends on your electric load and duration, my use with the inverters is about 30 mins tops for cooking, i can have the car idle for that time, if you just have a fridge then a solar panel with 100ah gel battery might be enough.
