So, obviously I’m new to the group, but I have been browsing the topics and messages trying to figure out what to do. I think my software for my 2018 GC overland is out of date. It’s a touch glitchy, with album art going in and out, lagging for navigation and other annoying things. What do I need to to to upgrade, or is it out of the question for me? Thanks for the help and advice. Have never attempted before, but I haven’t seen an update in a while.

Not exactly sure how you can manually update the uConnect, other than the random over-the-air ones it gets automatically. Have you tried doing a hard reboot of the system to see if it fixes the flakiness? Iirc, you hold down the center buttons of the outer-most dials (power+browse) at the same time for at least 20 seconds.

I haven’t tried that, but I will tomorrow. I’ve read a few threads where it had been updated manually through downloads and usb sticks, but I wasn’t sure if this would brick my system. The Uconnect says I’m current in updates, but it looks like version 40.? Is the current operating software. Was trying to keep from paying the dealership a small pension to do it if I could get it right.
