Anyone here have experience between these two systems? I'm looking at trading in for a 4xe but have slight concerns about Uconnect.

Thanks, I've been reading many negatives. I think Sync could be better but it's not terrible.

I can't speak to other's experiences, but I've learned that the more effort I put into learning the technology, the happier I am with my results.

In my opinion, Uconnect has a better graphical interface and more updated features that make it easier/friendlier to use. Furthermore, it offers far greater customization of screens/tabs.

My Ford is my daily driver and I love it, so my goal isn't to criticize Sync.

After a few hours with it I agree. I think Sync 3.4 is easier to use. The app systems on Sync, requiring a phone companion app, just did not work.

Uconnect seems to have more features. I both love and hate the android auto split screen. I wish it had a full screen mode as it gets squashed too much. I think the Wrangler setup would be better with an additional inch or two in height.

I had some minor issues with the GPS on my uconnect on a 2015 grand cherokee. With that being said, the new unconnect improved vastly. I think they are both good. personally uconnect is one of the better systems i've used in a vehicle. the navigation in sync seems to be a little bit better than the on board nav in uconnect though. Haven't had any issues in a 2020 Uconnect or a 2018 Sync (3 i think?)

I'd agree on the navigation, I think sync is slightly better.

it Sure helps when lining up with the flat bed
How did we get on the backup lines topic? :)

Mine work, but I think they could be overly cautious.

I have both and find Uconnect to be vastly more user friendly and intuitive. So much so that Sync just feels clunky.
agree! I like the Uconnect better than the Sync.

I think it just more resembles Waze but, with Carplay/Android auto, was a non factor for me. Even more so being that I don't have navigation in my wrangler lol

The Android Auto resolution is terrible on this 8.4 inch screen. Only two app rows display. That's probably my biggest complaint. There should be a full screen option, like there is on the map.
