Hi there,
I drive a 2018 JLU Sport. I have a bonus coming in from work so I’m going to upgrade from my Uconnect 3 to the Uconnect 8.4 (I am purchasing it on eBay). Any time I try to plug my phone directly into the Jeep, whether it be the media plug or the plugin the console, it will go for a couple of minutes then shut the whole stereo system down and reset it. Is this something wrong with the current stereo I have? Like maybe the phone pulls too much power? Or could it be a loose wire or plug issue? I’m trying to determine if I need to take it to the mechanic before I get the new stereo. Also, I’m probably going to get a new climate control cluster since I would lose the power button, etc. would that need to be programmed to the Jeep or is it simply just plug and play?
