Uconnect caller hears echo

2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Sport
Hi,

Just wondering if anyone is having this issue. JL Sport with 7. Regardless of how I connect/link my iPhone X (Uconnect Bluetooth or CarPlay), callers can hear themselves with an echo. After a sec, it repeats what the caller is saying. I cannot hear it but every caller, whether on cell or landline can. Sadly Iā€™m on the phone a lot and this is driving people nuts.

Iā€™ve read posts bout re-setting but seems like nothing is working. Iā€™ve not gone to dealer yet as Iā€™m afraid of having to leave vehicle for hours without solving the problem.

Side note is the volume sometimes randomly with drop to 0, on the phone or listening to music.

I face the same problem. No clarity on voice calls connected via Bluetooth and also disconnect my phone and wont connect back.

I can imagine how this would be frustrating. I found a TSB that may help with your concern. It is TSB 08-121-18, published on September 25, 2018. Symptoms include:
-Radio may reset, turn off and then back on.
-Audio distortion heard during phone calls and CarPlay
-Rear View Camera (RVC) display screen turns blue or green.

I have this same problem and the Jeep Wave reps have been all too eager to just blame it on my phone being incompatible (LG V30), although it happens with every phone I've tried including iPhone 8.
