Hands Free Echo on Calls

It sounds like the echo is a known issue they are trying to fix. Here is the response from my dealer:

"We have installed the sop speaker as you requested, as far as the echo problem, we did contact Chrysler engineering, and they advise us that they are developing a software update for this problem, and I will give you a call when they notify us the update is available."

That's great! Keep reporting these to the dealers and hopefully, they know to keep working on the issue.

I hate to say it, but I'm losing confidence in Jeep's communication, so I will believe that they're working on something when I start to see proof of it. #JadedByMyTurboOrder

When I went in to speak with them, I was told they will have a fix by July and people will need to bring it in to get the update...

Good luck with the turbo. I hope all the kinks are worked out before they start shipping them.

I have a Sport JLU with the Alpine. I too have the feed back echo
•Phone type : Android 8s
•Phone OS: Android KitKat
•Echo over Bluetooth: Yes
•Echo over USB: Yes
I have had times when it was clear as a bell. Then next call echo.
I haven't brought this up to my dealership as of yet... ?

I took mine in to the dealer because I have the same issues with echo and speaker crackle and they said the update is not available for mine. They wouldn’t do it. I went on the Uconnect website and put in my VIN and it said that it was up to date. So I still have people complaining when I talk to them that they hear themselves...so annoying. @JeepCares

I think in that posting it said even if your vin is not listed and you have the symptoms that they should do it.
Insist on the update, what can it hurt... Mine says it is up to date and the feedback on the other end is horrible, on my end it is fine...

My jeep had the echo issue. I had the dealer perform the TSB and so far the echo is now gone !!!

Same issue for me. Tried different phones, Android and iPhone. All the same. Sport S with Alpine. Jeep Wave rep blamed the phones although the ones I have are listed as being tested with my UConnect system. Very, very frustrating when you pay $40,000 for a vehicle and can't use a simple feature.
