After starting the jeep today, I received the following error:

"Uconnect Box requires service. Please visit an authorized dealer"

The SOS and assistance light up at the top are red.

Using jscan, I'm able to see the following:

B1498-13: usb hub circuit open - stored: radio
B15A1-00: media port 1 connection - stored: radio
B1570-93: usb communication - no operation - stored: telematic box module 2
B1570-93: no description for B1570-93 - stored: emergency assistance module

It looks to me like there may be an issue with 'media port 1'. Has anybody seen something like this, which usb port is 'media port 1', and what can I jiggle to see if it gets resolved? I'd rather try an easy fix than go through the headache of bringing it in.

Thank You!

Thank you for the link. I saw this before, but it looks like the solution is to replace the radio and then unplug the telematics box.

Jscan for me seems to indicate it may be a USB issue. I was hoping to check this out before replacing the radio or unplugging stuff.
My solution was to wait a week or whatever it was and it fixed itself after calling jeepcares and they apparently did an over the air fix. it has been since May and has been fine ever since.
