There's another thread about this and it's a known issue but fca doesn't acknowledge it, probably until there is a fix. Mine too does it with Android Auto.

I've been trying to figure out the issue again as I have had the screen glitch today while driving around in CarPlay using Waze. Curious to know what some of your Uconnect firmware versions are. I had mine updated last year due to the volume increasing and decreasing randomly. Appears I have 1848.24, which was updated using TSB 08-003-19 REV. C.

To get to this menu, hold the driver side hot & cold temp buttons + the front defrost button for about 5-10 seconds, the System Info menu will appear. Not sure what the other items are. but was thinking maybe we could see which firmwares are having issues?

Hi everyone,

If you're still having concerns with your radio please send me a private message. I would like to get you over to a Uconnect specialist.

Glad I found this. I started a thread with a similar issue.
Started with the volume issue, TSB upgrade, and now the screen flicker.
Itā€™s like a rubrics cube. Fix one thing and break another.

So it sounds like the latest FW update does not make much of a difference, dang.

Well, I've been in touch with JeepCares regarding this. Latest case direction is to take back to the dealer and show them the issue. Last time it "couldn't be replicated", not sure how in-depth they tried to investigate. I'm going to have to drive around and try to grab a video since this glitch does not appear on command. I may make this my last attempt to correct the issue.

Purchased a JLU sport ecodiesel on 9/5, having the exact same issues. Took it to the dealership this morning here in Maryland. Dealer acknowledged the issue, cited debris in phone port, and troubleshooting steps provided by fca on rebooting and unpairing. Left the dealership after it was ā€œfixedā€ had the same issue less than 20 minutes on the road.

Just got my Jeep back from the dealer for steering TSB and screen flicker, tech saw it happening. They replaced the media input harness (includes the center console) and it began to flicker shortly after leaving the lot.

Can mark that as a non-solution. I'll probably hold off taking it to the dealer until there's a software update, though I won't hold my breath

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if this happens with the 8.4 as well? Really wish the only difference between the two was the size but the fact they different probably makes it harder to pinpoint. The easy solution though, upgrade us all to 8.4 :)
