I’m going crazy here. It’s about time I change my battery but I noticed the other day the red light on the tachometer was on (security light). Checked codes (no cel) and U1514-87 showed up, “engine controller secret code - missing message”. A few days later the battery was at 11.5 volts, was able to jump start it but kept dying so I got pissed and deleted the aux battery, pulled neg terminal and fuse 42. Voltages are great now. I should mention when that happened I had a lost of “lost communication with TCM” codes but all is well, except that last code..

gonna pull the negative terminal for an hour or so and see what happens. 2018, 3.6, 56K. No issues running. Anyone else have a similar issue?

voltages while driving are 14.5, in case anyone is wondering. Thank you

Just curious, after sitting overnight and prior to starting the vehicle, what is the battery voltage at the battery posts?

About 11.4, it’s better now that I disconnected the aux. bout to go start it up and see how it does. 11.4 was with a voltmeter too. I noticed the negative terminal was loose as well, fixed that. I’m thinking it’s all voltage related

edit: 12.6 sitting, 14.5 with engine on. Started right up. These dang electrical grimlings…

I had this same thing last week. I ended up pulling the Tazer Mini off the vehicle and reconnecting the security gateway and after a couple starts, it fixed the problem. I haven’t tried figuring out why the issue occurred or how to correct it when I plug the tazer back in. If you have a tazer you my try this.

anyone else have this and know the solution?

You're going to have all sorts of problems with a loose negative terminal at the main battery. I would tighten that down and run for a bit before I changed anything else.
