U Connect Expert Tech Help. Compatibility Concerns / Is it possible???

So numerous times I have swapped U Connect stereos, from Jeep to Jeep, or Ram to Ram. As long as you have the reactivation pin / code from dealer there is no issues. (Other than finding a bezel from the junkyard or buying one ofcourse)

I have called 4 dealers, including U Connect and NOBODY can give me a clear answer, as to if I can swap a UConnect from Jeep to Ram. (Both being Mopar)

I found someone selling their 2019 JL Sahara’s 8.4 UConnect, that has the reactivation pin / code to unmarry it and link it to a different vehicle. So, my wife’s 4th gen is just a base 5.7 express, with a standard radio, and I would like to update it to the UConnect system. I know I will need to buy an 8.4 bezek for the truck to even fit the UConnect stereo I am interested in buying.. my question is, as far as compatibility, can I simply pop in the unit, and marry it to the Ram, pop in each wiring harness and rock and ro

I cannot find a freaking answer from ANYWHERE.

The OP is asking for the opposite. He wants a JL radio for his RAM.

It is my understanding that even though the RAM has an 8.4 inch radio option, it is not the same as what’s in the JL. Also, the stock center armrest media hub/USB port that comes with the smaller radio in the RAM is not compatible with the 8.4 inch radio.
