So, I'm looking at some of my basic off road/armor/recovery mods and came across Tyger- Specifically looking at their Stubby Bumper

https://www.tygerauto.com/tyger-fur...jk-18-21-jl-20-21-gladiator-tg-bp6j70078.html

And Star Armor Running boards

https://www.tygerauto.com/star-armo...-door-not-jk-textured-black-tg-ja2j2288b.html

I'm trying to see if anyone is currently running with these....the specs seems good for the price, but I'd really like some first hand reviews.

My other question if someone is using the Stubby Bumper...is winches. I'm really not 100% sure how to find

I don’t have it on my Jeep but I’ve seen it up close on others. It seems like a situation where you are getting what you’re paying for. It’s cheap for a reason. Fit and finish isn’t particularly good. It’s rather flimsy. For some of the accessories like maybe a roof rack that sees occasional use it might be OK. For bumpers, tire carriers, or rock sliders - save a few bucks and make some out of painted aluminum foil. Same strength. Less rust.

Yeah, I looked at their roof basket for the occasional road trip. Anything is better than tying down trash bags at that point

See....I feel like there's so much debate over this....3 different 4x4 installers recommended this one...and it's 3/16

https://fabfours.com/product/jeep-jl-gladiator-stubby-front-bumper/
FabFours products are usually very good in terms of quality. Had some of their stuff on my Tacoma back in the day.

As others have pointed out, you’re mostly paying for fit and finish. You might have to bang the Tyger stuff into place/the welds won’t be as nice. Ultimately it’s your choice and how much function you want.

Also if you live in the salt belt/snowy winters, the Tyger stuff will rust. They always claim it has treatment/has resistance but the powder coat never holds up.

But don't get me wrong, I love a good deal. If I am on a budget, I would buy it - I don't mind making some adjustments to make things fit, or cleaning up a bit of rust and respraying with bedliner (which I have done on other products). It just depends what you want and how much you're willing to put up with.

I have them on 2 JL’s and there’s no figment issues and they aren’t flimsy. They aren’t bulky like most stubby bumpers.

Yours look good and fairly new I’m guessing. The ones I’ve seen up close were older and beat to crap and rusting.

Ditto. I’ve been considering a roof basket from them because it’ll only be used once or twice a year at most and stored inside the rest of the time. Durability isn’t that big a concern as long as it stays put while driving.

I haven’t had any rust issues yet I drive my Willys to the mines every day and if they were to have issues the mines would exploit it.

I have the running boards on my 2dr. It came on the Jeep when I bought it, I probably wouldn’t have bought them. But they do seem to be well built, the powder coating is holding up well, and no rust issues. I weigh almost 300 lbs and I can stand on them and they don’t flex.

The rocker guards...well...it depends on your use IMO. It's not about if they will rust, etc...it's the mount points. They mount to the tub like stock Rubi rails. Really easy to bend if you might slam down on a rock. If you take it easy, probably plenty sufficient. My ROAM mount the same, but all along the pinch seam, I bent one and they are getting replaced.
