I’ve got a two door on the way as well as a 3 year old and a rear facing as well.

I’m assuming width wise should be ok, and leg room in the two door supposedly is pretty close to my Tacoma so should work, but we probably won’t put the little one in the Jeep until we can put her forward facing in about 4-6 months. The Jeep probably won’t be here for 2 months anyway, and is just a toy 3rd vehicle probably never have the soft top windows in.

But I’m interested in seeing pics of others with 2 car seats in a two door.

Yeah, same with me 2 door. I just took delivery from Gupton and is a weekend car. Hence I want to take the kids on the weekend for ride and such.

I fully recognize this is not at all what you asked, but this is the Britax Grow With You Clicktight Plus.

They also have a “non-plus” version that I believe should have a slightly more narrow neck support as it wouldn’t have bags full of air that is the light gray part to the left and right of the neck area (kind of like airbags without the explosion). The black part inside of it **I believe** is the limit of the “non-plus” version, but you’d want to confirm if you’re interested.

No idea if it would be narrow enough for 2, but I’d be willing to give it a shot and not remove the labels until you ensured proper fit.

I do not believe you could put 2 of these “Plus” models in the back as the aforementioned outer neck support would get bent. That said, as a single car seat in the 2 door, it works well and fits through the front door without having to take the top off to install it.

I could not imagine having the 2 door and a rear facing car seat. I waited until my son could be forward facing to even buy the Jeep. That said, the front facing is a breeze - even if it’s cold, you can put the kid in the back, let them climb in, and go sit in the drivers seat and lean back and lock them in. It’s also easy on a nice day to just reach back from the passenger door when the seat is pushed forward.

10/10 would buy a 2 door with a kid again.

I know it’s not really helpful but, should someone find it later. I have a 4dr and one forward facing and one rear and I’m so ready for my rear facing to turn around. It’s tight getting them in between the soft top frame, sport bar and their seat. I doubt there is much room in the 2dr since that seat is a lot more narrow and car seats seem to be getting better. Plus side I have doubled my cup holders since that’s apparently a selling feature now of suvs.

So I’ve run nothing but 2drs and have a 6 and a 4 year old. In the beginning I ran a Chicco Keyfit 30 and it was rear facing but was a bucket that was removable. Basically for infants to 1.5 or so. Once they were 30” or 30lbs they moved into a Chicco Nextfit but I forward faced them because it was impossible to buckle them rear facing, plus the law allowed it my state. Two of those sat side by side for a few years until the oldest went to a backed booster. In this pic, the youngest is in a cheap Wal Mart seat because she didn’t like the giant Chicco seat. She couldn’t see out.
My advice is just don’t fight it, get a 4 door or a 4Runner. Honestly, I had to sell mine off because as they got bigger it was impossible to take 4 of us and even a moderate amount of gear with the 2 door. Diaper bag, wife’s purse, a couple of jackets and a 2 door is full. In addition, and DO NOT neglect this one, PROTECT your children’s ears when the top is off. The road and wind noise will damage their hearing if traveling above 45 mph or for long periods. My 3 year old said to me after a short trip one day “Daddy, what’s that sound …wheee….wheee….what’s that sound….wheee….wheee?” And I realized it was her ears ringing! Never again. I’m a 45 year old former police firearms instructor with severe tinnitus, please please don’t put your kids in there without hearing protection!

Baby #1 is due in 6weeks, we have a Graco Snugride Snugfit 35 that has the anti-rebound bar on the base.

Planning to test fit it into the back of my 2dr tonight or tomorrow before installing it in my wife's Cherokee. If the anti-rebound bar makes for too tight of a fit, I'm going to buy a base without it and see how that fits.

Hopefully I can report back in a day or so. I don't have 2, but sounds like from others, there's plenty of width for 2 car seats.

I have a JLU and ran 3 of these across the backseat. Considering your initial question, I am certain they would work for your situation. Can also use them as booster seats once they outgrow the harness.
Just gave 2 away to some folks in the local Jeep club as the biggest 2 are out of them. Perfect for Jeeps ?

I assume you have your answer for how 2 car seats fit on the rear seat, but just FYI, I test-fit my Graco SnugRide SnugFit 35 XT. Because of the way I parked in the garage, I had to do it through the driver's door, which wasn't terrible and should be much easier from the passenger side. I took this picture of the seating position it forces the passenger into - tighter, but not too bad.

This is my current set up. Just switched my second to front facing (passenger side). Tried rear facing for a few months. Was NOT ideal but made it work and the leg room in front seat was not terrible either. Now that he's front facing it'll be a breeze. My older son sits behind me in a booster and they both fit well back there. Only thing I wish I had was a bit more trunk space to make trips with the whole family a bit more practical. Oh well can't have it all!
