After reading comments about build quality and frame flex from closing doors, this thread has further dissuaded me from considering a new Bronco.
It's a bit surprising that the odd functioning of the Bronco's soft top isn't mentioned more frequently, too.

I remember thinking that this was a pranked image, when it first appeared during the Bronco's original launch. Nope. It's real.

Broncos suffer from the issues that have plagued Ford since 1945, it’s a Ford

parts are very specific to models and years
You mean, like every other vehicle on the road? ?
95 V10 Ram died ~3 years ago. Ignition control module fail. Used 94-95 only— Obsolete, no after market, not repairable. ~ 2 months of increasingly stressed out searching found one in an out of state junkyard…… 50 3A has a Hurricane (swap) , used by Willys 1950– 1971. No computers to kill it, parts for it and most everything else for early CJ’s widely available. Second Simpler Times mention. :) Edit- The Hurricanes in my MD, Louie’s Wagon, and John’s Jeepster replaced by Chevy V8’s, good pre smog ones 1955– 1971 , parts available.

Yes. I've checked my VIN on NHTSA site. Mine is affected by both recalls,. Both listed as "Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available". Dealer says they don't know anything. That's why I questioned your statement "The clutch recall has been addressed". So, I'll throw it back at you: where have you gotten this information that it's been addressed? Is your vehicle affected? Have you gotten a remedy from Jeep through an authorized dealer? Is it working properly now?
Not exactly sure what you're looking for here..... I have google in my pocket just like everyone else does. My dad's 2023 was replaced. We could also smell clutch burning and it was slipping at 8500 miles, and was replaced by Ennis CDJR. Is your Jeep exhibiting any symptoms of failure?

There have been software updates . There was a recall for 2018- 2020 YM and 33200+ were recalled and replaced. Currently it is selective from what our Dealer has relayed.

If you're looking for a new clutch and have no issues with yours, that's odd. If you are that consumed by a possibility of a clutch issue and have no issue with factory yet, pick up a ACT or similar replacement so you can sleep better. And you have a 2023? Presumably under factory warranty, correct? Recall or warranty fix, you'd be covered if you were having issues.

REASON FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL In SOME of the above vehicles equipped with manual transmissions, in SOME circumstances, the clutch pressure plate MAY become overheated through friction, which may lead the pressure plate to rapidly fracture. When a pressure plate fractures, it may result in cracks or holes in the transmission case, allowing heated debris to be expelled from the transmission case. In some circumstances, the operator may smell a clutch odor and or clutch slippage prior to the failure and may receive instrument cluster messaging.

Got it. So, you have no real information and apparently don’t understand why NHTSA conducts recalls. Thanks for playing.

I never thought I'd write this post but considering the current situation at Jeep I think it's time to get some insight from the forum on this topic.

I'm looking to place an order for a two door 3.6L manual soft top willys next year.

With so many issues with the manual transmissions, the recall, and Jeep's move towards electrification for 2025, I've been hearing rumors that the two door along with the manual transmission and even the 3.6L engine will get axed soon.

In the case it does, I'd probably get the two door bronco instead of a four door Jeep. A two door soft top is non negotiable for me. I can be flexible with the type of transmission and the engine.

This will be my daily driver. Live on a mountain where it rains a lot, nothing is flat, and roads are broken. I occasionally do soft to moderate trails to the river or beach.

I've heard the 2dr broncos (the recent ones) have more space, are an easier ride, and have better gas mileage than the Jeep. They eliminated the base model.

How easy is it to open and maintain the bronco soft top vs jeep? I will be riding with no top everytime I can daily, so long as it doesn't rain, so that's important to me.

Does anyone here have experience with the two that can give me their opinion? How is reliability?

Hands down I'd prefer the Jeep anyday...but in a 4 door Jeep vs 2 door bronco situation I'd lean Bronco.
I uhhh

This. Think the 2.7L in a 2-door Bronco with 410 lb-ft of torque would be fun as hell.

And while I'm still not too crazy about the 4-door Wrangler's looks, it's grown on me a little from hanging around here. The 4-door Bronco is even worse to my eyes, but I think their 2-door looks f'ing awesome..

I was a forever 2 door guy myself, was. Several years ago I bought a 93 YJ and planed on ordering a new JL when the time (finances) were right. I rented a 4 door JL for a road trip and I can't explain it but it still felt like a Jeep. Fast forward several years still waffling between 2 and 4 doors I ordered a 4 door. I grin like a little kid every time I hop in it.

Camping, road trips, hauling gear, etc. is a whole lot more convenient with the extra doors.

There are two outstanding recalls currently on these vehicles, one of which you made a statement had been addressed with no factual backup. I was simply asking whether you in fact had any information to back up your statement, which you obviously don't since you have resorted to ad hominem juvenile attacks. NHTSA does not issue recalls so that if someday one suffers an issue, they can then get it addressed. That's what warranties are for. NHTSA issues recalls because there have been real world examples of safety issues emerging, in some cases without sufficient warning to consumers so that they can seek a remedy before the problem becomes a safety issue. Those of us who put our families in our vehicles have legitimate interest in getting those things resolved before they become problems for us. However, it must be past your bedtime, so I'll end it here. Hopefully you've finished all your middle school homework. I hope the year is going well for you so far. Did your parents spring for the hot lunch this year?
