Been looking at these Tuffy Security Deck Enclosures for awhile, but the item description only states that it is compatible with 4-door JLs.

I have a 2-door with back seat removed (and no subwoofer), so just curious if it would fit in that configuration. Seems likely, but I can't tell from the photos and manufacturer/vendors don't seem to know. Just hoping there are other 2-door owners who have tried this. Appreciate any advice on the topic...many thanks!

I don’t know anything about Tuffy. But Diabolical makes one specifically for the 2 door. They are also a forum sponsor, @ZeroFox and may have a promotion.

I have the Tuffy security enclosure in my 2 door. It fits with no modifications needed though it leaves quite a bit of space behind the front seats. Pics are in my build thread on page 6 or 7.

Great news Steve, and thanks for the info. I actually don't mind having some open space, as I don't always need everything locked up, and like the easy access to certain items from the front seat. In addition, I am going to cover it all up anyway with a tonneau, so those items will still be somewhat protected from the sun and prying eyes. Really appreciate the feedback, and happy Jeepin'!

The tonneau cover is a good idea, I might borrow that, lol.

I’ve mounted a Rotopax water container to the front panel and see there’s enough room to put the tool case/storage container version as well.

Finally installed the security deck and put the tonneau cover back on. Neither item interferes with the other, and they both work fine. A few pics:

Thank you and @JPAloha for the detailed pics. I've wondered about a gap inbetween and this is the first I've seen pics from that angle.

I know it'll depend on how far back the front seats are, but how much space is between the box and the back of the front seats?

Glad you found this helpful. Since the seat backs are tilted back and aren't completely vertical, the clearance is smaller at the top of the box and larger at the bottom. I am pretty short, so the driver's seat is pretty far forward, leaving about 13-1/2" of clearance from the top edge of the box, and about 18" from the bottom edge. I like to give my passengers as much room as possible, so that seat is all the way back, leaving about 9-1/2" at the top and 14" at the bottom. Although I was initially disappointed about the size of the security enclosure, I later appreciated the remaining open area, as it allows me to just throw groceries or other small items back there, and they are still somewhat covered by the tonneau cover.

In any case, the first photo I posted above should give you a pretty good idea of the bottom clearance, as it shows the distance between the box and cup holders. Hope this helps, but please let me know if you need additional info or pics.

So helpful that I had to finally make an account instead of just lurking ?

Awesome, thank you! That gives me a good range to play with until my Jeep gets here. I really appreciate it.

LOL...glad to hear it and welcome aboard! Hope your wait is almost over, but accessory shopping is perhaps the best thing you can do to pass the time. Best of luck and enjoy!
