Does anyone have a good template for how much to trim on the tub when going to 40's? I've read a few of the posts that where some people have noted what they trimmed but it's kind of vague as to how much.

Thanks in advance for any information!

I think it's too individual based on actual tire diameter, wheel offset, and varied bump stop heights. We run 39s on the wife's JLUR with no trimming, but I added a 1" bump stop up front and 2" in the rear in addition to the XR packages already extended bumps. It very lightly rubs the stock plastic fender liners at full stuff but doesn't rub the pinch seem which is all most end up trimming. With some trimming and new liners I could gain an inch of uptravel, but it does great without it.

As Zach said, trimming will be very specific to your rig. The only way to figure it out is to flex it and start seeing what hits. You can adjust control arm lengths, bump stops and then start trimming. I've got mine adjusted to be as perfect as I could and have zero rubbing in the rear and the front tires just barely kiss the fenders on full stuff. Granted I'm "only" on 37's, but I've got a ton of flex. Take your time and you'll have your perfect setup. :like:

Thanks for the info. I agree it's a matter of a number of variables. It a JLUR with a 3.5" MCGC, Artec inner fenders and Motobilt bumpers. With the 37's it didn't rub anywhere so I'll have to give it a few flexes to see what it rubs.
