Transmission hesitation

I have a 2018 JL Sport V-6, 8 speed automatic with 17K miles. Coming home tonight I noticed a hesitation at highway speeds. It felt like it was starving for fuel, but when I pulled over and placed it in Park, the engine rev.ed to 3K and maintained without cutting out. Back on the road again it continued to hesitate. It felt like the transmission was hesitating when if shifted between the higher gears. After it sat for a couple hours, the problem went away.

I plan on checking with the service department tomorrow, but has anyone had similar issues? Thanks.

I've noticed mine hesitates to shift into 8th from 7th. It kinda just sticks there unless I really rev it up. It doesn't really bother me because I don't spend much time on the expressway, but it's still a little weird.

Have you tried shifting manually? Move the shift lever to the left and you're in manual mode. Your center display should show the gear you're in. Drive it around a bit then switch back to auto. Still have the problem? Time to check for codes...
