I have a 2021 Wrangler JL e-Torque with auto transmission, and I cannot move the Transfer Case shifter. Does e-Torque have anything to do with this transfer case shifting?
The shifter will not move at all. But I pulled on the stick while a friend pushed on the rod to the case it went into 4h and the dash confirmed 4h. When I moved the shifter back to 2h is went back to 2h easily. Is the shifter moving at all? Any warning lights on the dash? have you gotten underneath to see if the front driveshaft spins freely? Can you move the linkage from underneath?
Need more details here.
If it is shifting from moving the bottom linkage but not the actual stick you likely have a break in the cable. Take the trim piece off and check the linkage up top.The shifter will not move at all. The Jeep was on a lift when we got it to shift and believe the front wheel turned. I will try the neutral, brake method again. Thanks for the help.E-Torque should not have anything to do with it.
Can you drive? Forward or reverse while still locked into 4-HI?
How are you trying to disengage it? Are you moving or stationary?
Can you shift into neutral and depress the brake and try that method?
More details as to what you've tried may help.
Best of luck. The Jeep was on a lift when we got it to shift and believe the front wheel turned. I will try the neutral, brake method again. Thanks for the help.
