I just wanted opinions on the 2 coolers I listed.
Fair enough... my opinion on the 2 coolers listed is that they are unnecessary :LOL:

i missed where you answered the question; what temps are you seeing? and what are you doing when you see them?

personally, i'm curious how much any of this matters, as failure of the 8HP75 is something i don't recall having heard much (if anything) about.


I want my trans temps below 200* if possible. I live at 5000' weigh over 7k lbs and have 6*+ grades everywhere. Summers are high 90's+

In 100* heat pulling 6*+ grades, oil can easily hit 240+, Trans 230+.
It matters to me others can do what they think is best.

In 100* heat pulling 6*+ grades, oil can easily hit 240+, Trans 230+.
It matters to me others can do what they think is best.
I don't have any experience with the coolers, but unless you're moving a shit ton of air across them I can't imagine them helping much. It's also probably going to be hard to find someone that has run them on this platform since there is a very good solution that most people choose, but you are not willing to run and I don't think it works on the diesels anyway. You might have to be the guinea pig.
