How fast I take any on road bumps is a complex calculus of the following factors:

• Is the Mrs. dressed up, better, is she concerned she's dressed ok for an event we're traveling to? Bonus points if we're running late.
• Are the kids in the car to giggle when I expressly say, "don't worry, I see the bump up ahead and I'll take it slow," only to "floor it," get my wife to scream (then laugh), and the kids to belly chuckle?

this is a purely hypothetical question. it assumes the kids are in the car, and not the wife.
