That’s what I got. Use it for cargo and camping.I am looking at trailer options now too for kayaks and general hauling (landscape stuff, etc). Hoping to find a utility trailer with bars for the kayaks. Anyone have ideas???
Hey again Bo. People have done roof racks for their trailers.
It looks something like this:

I really liked, and you agreed, with what @Torero had to say about the lift that could be created by a kayak traveling at high speeds attached to a rig, or its trailer. So do keep that in mind.
Second, "novels" have been written here on rear hitch options, and keeping the weight below 3500 lbs, not to mention whether or not to have a trailer with electric brakes, and the 7 pin harness on the hitch to effect this, and if so, to have ordered it from the factory.
Still more, are you an off-roader looking to travel with your trailer? I ask because the market has made hitch links that allow trailer pitch, roll, and attitude changes that differ and are independent from the rig.
If the MOPAR hard top rails could hold twice the weight of your kayak, to @Torero 's great point, I'd seriously question their ability to fight the forces of aerodynamic lift. Essential the hard top's rain gutter is doing all the support work here.

What kind of weight are we looking at with that trailer unloaded sir? Are electric brakes needed/available?That’s what I got. Use it for cargo and camping.
