I installed the Metalcloak trackbar last week. Now it creaks every time I go over a bump. Dumb question: Was I supposed to apply some lube to the bushings? Can I apply lube to the bushings? Seems to be the axle side bushing.

Maybe stupid question but did you trim axle side bracket as suggested?

Yes. Would not have fit otherwise.
Wasn’t sure. Some have just widened opening and made it work or didn’t open up cut out enough. Then had metal to metal noise.

This is my 1st suspicion, that it wasn't opened enough to clear the bushings housing when bouncing around.

I will take it down and grind some more. It moves pretty freely in the mount an doesn't appear to rub. This is more of a bushing creak than metal on metal. Worst case I will throw some grease in it.

These bushings are capable of about 30° of misalignment in opposite directions of relaxed. Couple that to these bushings being maintenance free, makes us think of it being possible metal rubbing.

I installed all 8 of their control arms a few months back, and haven't heard a peep out of them. They went in dry and the only washing my jeep sees is when it's raining. That just reminded me that I never did the after winter salt wash this year. We had a couple of decent snowfalls and lots of road salting this past cold season.

After a few days seems to have resolved itself. Guess it just needed to settle or something.
