TPMS sensor question

I just installed rubicon take offs on my sport and they did not have sensors in them. I put them on and I'm going to take them to my local tire shop and have the sensors transferred over to the new wheels, but my question is, how long does it take for the jeep to realize the sensors are no longer on? I took my jeep for a short ride to check the ride and the TPMS light has not come on and it still displays the tires have 35psi in them. I know you have to drive for a little to reset a sensor but I drove about 3-4 miles and I thought that would have been enough for my jeep to notice the sensors missing.

TPMS isn't a constant monitoring link, it's an intermittent signal. It will take longer for the vehicle to conclude the sensors aren't there then the time it takes to read sensors that are there. I don't know how long the JL will hold out waiting for TPMS signals that will never come, but it doesn't surprise me at all that it's still displaying the last sensor reading it did get after only 3-4 miles.

I use my TPMS to air down and up, they respond within a half minute or so.

I'm guessing that the sensors transmit anytime there is a pressure change. Otherwise they would not meet the federal requirements to report pressure loss before it becomes a catastrophic tire failure.
Is it possible that the take-offs do have sensors in there?

Yeah the guy I bought them off of said he had too put them in his new set. I imagine when I drive today it’ll go off
