I rotated my tires and now getting a TPMS error, doesn’t see the right front. No problems until the tire rotation and that tire was on the left rear. Tried removing the spare and riding around, turning the Jeep off/on, etc (I rotate all 5....just in case the TPMS system got confused about what’s where) but no luck. Any ideas...can this system be manually reset?

It cannot. It is auto relearn. Did you take off the spare and go drive it with it left back at home? Also make sure the PSI is set to the door placard. If those two don’t work let 15 psi out and then drive a second then come back and fill back up to the door and go drive again.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I left the spare at the house and road around a bit, probably cut the Jeep off/on 2-3 times while out. Yes, it’s inflated the same psi as the others. It was moved from the left rear to the right front with no problems before the rotation....pretty odd. The rotation was done Wednesday so I thought I’d give it some time to clear on its own but doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.

It should happen almost immediately when starting to drive. Try the let out the pressure technique. Sounds like the sensor went to sleep and you need to wake it up. Lower the pressure drive a few blocks and then come back and go back up to door placard psi and check them all not just the one not working.

I had 3 tires show up within the first 3 miles. The last one took almost 100 miles to fix. I had almost given up on it.

Letting air out, causing it to be 10psi less than it was will help. To do this, air the working ones up to 35-37psi, and lower the other to 25-27 psi, and drive again.

Changing the air with the vehicle running will help too.

I just got tired of dealing with TPMS issues and turned it off and just use a tire gage ...

Sorry to resurrect this threat.

I may have to try this. My right front passenger side tire tpms is not showing any psi number and is in red, however, I checked and it is at 34psi. I’ll air down to 25 psi, drive around, and then should I see it come back on? Or only after airing back up?

You would want to try the following ...

Make sure the Psi on all 4, on the ground tires are set to exactly what the the door placard recommends. Then go for a ride... Hopefully, all will display after a mile or so.. AFTER all TPMS's are reading you can change the psi on tires.

If that is a no go..... try -->Often the spare tire messes things up so remove the spare, leave it in the garage and with the PSI's all set as per the door placard, go drive for a few minutes. Once all displays properly, put the spare back on the spare holder.

Also try: --> the current thought by most TPMS retailers/vendors, that IF you have one or more sensors not reading on a say a JL/JLU/JT, you deflate all tires to 12# below the recommended tire pressure, driver's side door sticker that tells you recommended tire psi. Now, after they are deflated you drive say a half mile. Now, you inflate to to +- 1# psi, of the recommended psi on the driver's side door sticker and go for a mile drive.. This scenario/routine is suppose to wake up the sensors, so to speak and get them reading...

I’ll give that a go. What a pain. I know I can always turn it off with the Tazer, but I do like being able to read when tpms is too high/low with these ever changing temperatures. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. Going to try Discount tire, if that doesn’t work I’m doing the same.
