Is the torque spec of 130 ft-lb correct for the Xtreme Recon wheels?

The torque spec is for the studs. The torque is a proxy measurement that correlates with the clamping force of the stud and nut assembly to ensure the security of the wheel to hub connection.

Some wheel materials compress more than others when clamped upon, so follow up inspection and retightening will be required more or less often depending on the wheel choice.

The JK used the 12mm studs, and the JL uses the 14mm studs. The 14mm studs provide the potential for greater maximum clamping force, but also require more torque to begin stretching the stud at the lower portion of the range of the potential for clamping force, so the relatively high 130 pounds per foot with clean dry threads is prescribed.

Good answer, thank you. And how about the torque specification for the bead lock ring?
