Diabolical Slipstream to keep my stuff safe.

Completely agree w the Slipstream-one of my favorite additions. It was a PITA to install though
and, since I have it,: all of my golf gear!

other things-
extra hats
hair ties for my girls
towel
How weather resistant/proof has this been for you? I ran my jk 2 door with nothing but the freedom panels on almost full time, so I get not worrying about most things getting wet. But it would be awesome to have this system for both security of items and not have to worry about items getting wet at the same time.

I know a tonneau cover over it would likely make it pretty waterproof (inside the slipstream anyway), but I'm really curious what your experience has been without an additional cover.

This is probably the best thread to ask this question in..
What is your most efficient way for putting the windows back in?
Tons and tons of Youtube videos on opening the soft top, but almost none on putting it all back together.
i flip the top forward and latch it, then both side windows, then the back window.

when i put the sides in, i kind of set the window in the back of the jeep, grab ahold of the end of the track on the top, and grab the end of the male part on the window and it seems to be easier to line up and get them started. then i just grab the whole window, and slide it forward and put it in place. then do the other side, then do the back window. hope this helps.

That was April ‘23
But thanks! I actually ended up buying a Bestop slantback soft top!

It’s spring now and for me that means switching to the soft top and putting the top down any chance I get. Wanted to throw this out there to see what everyone thought

What are some of your must have items when you have the top down/off on your jeep?

I do a lot of highway driving so mine is velcro straps for the back seatbelts so they don’t drive me crazy in the wind.
A nice set of floor mats to protect the interior space and keep it clean?
A good car storage to carry cargoes with ease??☕

It will keep things a lot drier than having nothing, but it's not waterproof. I haven't been caught in a storm, but I imagine in a heavy rain water will find a way in.

I got it primarily for security and for that it does a great job.

For this if you running around topless, I get the removal of carpets - I did that back in the 90's with my YJ. With all the electronics in these things nowadays, do you worry about those $5000 computer display head units and all the water?

I was caught in an unexpected downpour one day in stop-n-go interstate driving so no way to pull my top up. The rain was so bad, the drops were acting like someone was constantly pressing their finger against the display screen so it was going through different menus. I turned off the unit and while the Jeep got thoroughly soaked, I've had no issues and that was 2 years ago. It's not something I'd recommend doing several times due to that concern but in my situation, the unit doesn't seem to be 'delicate'.
