if you are concerned, get an extended warranty.

There are places that heavily discount extended Mopar warranties. it will cost you like $1800 for 8 year /80k miles with a $200 deductable. send me a PM if you want to know where i got mine (i get nothing for this).

not to turn this into a warranty thread, you spend your money you take your chances. With all I have read about jeep reliability, I figured if they paid for half the issues I had and rejected the other half I'd still get my money back. it doesn't take long at current $175/hour shop rates in my area to eat up $1800.

so far my wife's JLU has had a trouble free 43,000 miles. Her jeep pulled a camper 15K miles to alaska and back on some of the sh*ttiest roads I have ever driven. So at this point, i am losing money on the warranty and liking it that way ;)

again, i can't speak for how good the max care warranty will take care of me but I've spent more money on beer and lottery tickets in my lifetime with less return

My '21 JLUR has about 20k miles and totally trouble free (well "duh" you say). I change oil and filter at 3,000 miles, I have installed an oil catch can to remove escaping PVC oil being forced back through the engine for a 2nd shot at combustion, and recently switched to 5 W 30 from the recommended oil. I also add Tribo Tex to the crankcase. And I installed a StopStart Eliminator as I think that most hot engines do not like to sit without oil circulation at every stoplight. My 2014 X5 has 106k miles on it and runs as good as new so I am hoping the same will go for my Jeep. The JLUR is by far the car I go to most to feel relaxed and ready to have some fun both on-road, and off-road. Treat it right and you won't regret it.

You’re going into the purchase with your eyes wide open. Many of us have been frustrated with Stellantis choices and Jeep reliability, but we still love them. They are a huge source of fun.

And, if you want to feel great about jeep quality control and reliability, buy an RV. :CWL: Most RVs under $1 million start falling apart the day before they are delivered.
And the ones over that fall apart the day after.

I have a 2023 High Tide with the Xtreme Recon package and all the comfort bells and whistles, and it also came with the V6, the Selec-Trac transfer case, and the eTorque mild hybrid system. It is absolutely one of the best vehicle purchases I have ever made, and I couldn't be happier with it! Note that I have owned various four WD vehicles continuously for 57 years now, including a 1965 Scout and a number of Jeeps, and this Jeep is the best of the bunch so far, is excellent in snow and ice, will off road anywhere I have the b*lls to drive it, and it hasn't missed a beat since I drove it off the lot right out of the box! I'm thinking you will really enjoy your new ride, and the only regret you will have is that you didn't buy one sooner.

I ordered a 2026 Sahara, with most all of the creature comforts. I have waited for absolute YEARS to own one of these and I sure as hell hope I am not sorry! A little scary reading all the negativity regarding Stellantis and all the problems associated with the wranglers. Hell, I owned a Cherokee for 10 years and swore I’d never buy another Chrysler product! Don’t know why but I have not ever been able to get rid of the desire for a wrangler. So, here we go, we’ll see what happens, looking forward to enjoying the hell out of it and will just let the cards fall where they may😁. Only go around once as far as I believe and just couldn’t let it go 🤪
Welcome to the forum, and get ready to be sorry!! 💯

Remember OP that when it comes to negative reviews the internet is inherently skewed. Rarely do people bother to post that everything is okay. They post when there are problems and things have gone wrong. So, if you hang out on the forums it's easy to come away with the impression that there are widespread problems when, in the grand scheme of things you're reading about more isolated incidents.
This is pretty accurate right here. I believe my grandpa called it the “attrition rate” if I’m not mistaken. The ratio of how many are out there vs the amount that have gone bad. Without context, “5,000 failures” sounds like a pretty big number. But when you compare that to a possible “5-million sold” it doesn’t seem quite as bad.

My dad and I were just talking about this the other day. The more of something that’s out there, the higher chance of running into someone who has had a problem.

thanks for the reminder👍🏻
You are brave, Grasshopper... The poor judgement is abundant within you, but you are brave. May your path be glorious, as the outcome is in doubt.

I have a 2024 JLU Sahara with all the comforts. Went to my first Jamboree this past fall and was amazed at how capable it is for a daily. Love mine.
