today is Flag Day

I have my flag out. Since moving to SoCal from Spokane,Wa., I hardly ever see homes with flags flying. Just wondering if any others fly the flag. I have a lot of respect for old glory and follow protocols as best I can.

It's amazing how much life has changed in 35 years. Back when I was young the flag was everywhere. And people were damned proud of it. Today you rarely see it on homes and even in the cities there are groups trying to get it taken down.

Our state flag displays the motto: "United We Stand, Divided We Fall" and we are witnessing the truth of that motto in our country right now.
