There are 4 small peppers that are bell pepper hot. All others begin at habanero heat 30k Scoville units and go all the way to 2 million +. Yeah, there is a lot of heat in that pic. Kinda strange to say they do have rich flavor and are tasty.

I made a big ole batch of HOT sauce 2 years ago with around 150 chocolate habaneros. Just the peppers, carrots, onions, salt pepper and vinegar, ended up with a dozen 12oz bottles, I'm down to my last 2. Love the sweetness of the habs if you don't overdo it, just a few drops is plenty.

I prepped, smoked, cooked everything outside with a respirator and gloves. Everything went great until I started cleaning the blender, dumbass me turned on the garbage disposal and aerosolized it. It was like someone fired off their pepper spray in the house, my wife and daughter were not impressed. Oh and everything I cooked my giant iron skillet for the next few months was extra spicy.

Thinking about habanero mole this year?? I'll probably pick up a blender at good will this year and throw it in the trash when I'm done ?

These peppers are all new to me. So I’m just eating them or cooking a meal with them. This will give an idea of what I like.



In the future I would skip the hallows eve pepper. Mean little mofo definitely more heat than flavor to me. These are off the plant, they are not cooked.
