Solar Yellow? I thought about having my khaki one painted that color, but I chose Willys Michigan Yellow to blend better with the tan top and tan fenders. (Yes, they were ALWAYS tan.)
I am not familiar with the TJ colors, but yea looks like Solar Yellow according to the build sheet. Wasn't a huge fan at first but it is growing on me.

Jeep Wrangler JL TJ vs JL conversation. J

I loved my TJ for 14 years.
I have loved my JL for 5 years and counting.

Same bloodlines, but different animals. I wouldn't sell the JL for another TJ, but I would LOVE to add a TJ. The TJ felt a lot smaller and the simpler tech appeals to me more and more as I get older.

So... who has some good pics of their TJ's? 😁
My 97 with auto and air only. Bought new, sold it after we bought 18 JL Auto, air, tinted windows only. Moved up from zip windows to crank windows. 4 cyl. To V6. When bitter cold would have to switch TJ from feet to face and back and forth, JL will melt the deflectors.
TJ was leased at $135 mo. After 3 years bought it at lease end for $12,000. My youngest heading off to homecoming 2000. She also drove it to her 15th year reunion.

Oh yes, I remember these too. Another good reason we had to stay up to date on tetanus shots!

Never owned a YJ or TJ. I do still own an '85 CJ7. Great off road, and only ever left me stranded once (alternator). The clutch threw a transverse spring in Lubbock during a road trip from Huntsville, AL to El Paso, TX. Drove a whole day without being able to engage the clutch. LOL! Popping it in neutral to coast to a stop, shutting it down, putting it in first then engaging the starter was fun! I'll never get rid of the old girl, but am introspective enough to know that 1) I'm too old and broke down to drive her on road trips and 2) she's too old to like highway speeds. The JLU is much nicer on my old bones. ;-)
Nostalgia for sure - I still miss my 81 CJ7 Renegade - with the built in "shoe wash" from the leaky hood vents and the solid girder bumpers - I had the hard top on twice - when I bought it and when I sold it. It was a blast - the old straight 6 with manual transmission - I swear it could go vertical in 4L.
I hope I can find some pictures.
