I’ve read numerous threads about the door torx bolts being a pain to remove (they were), and I’ll share what worked for me.
Step 1: take the T50 bit and hammer (rubber mallet) it into the painted bolt head..
Step 2: use my makeshift pvc “breaker bar” to get leverage to loosen the bolts,,
BOOM! Done!
It wasn’t easy and I had my share of challenges, but it worked. I did end up buying a heavier duty T50 bit from Lowes. Don’t worry about ruining the paint on the bolt,since you won’t reuse them anyway. Hope that helped. ??
