Tips for buying used soft top?

Ordered my JLU with the hard top, but looking to pick up a soft top for the summer months. I've been seeing a few pop up here and there on FB Marketplace, but curious as to what things I should be looking for?

Any immediate red flags, specific parts I should look at, consider, etc?

Is buying them used a stupid idea?

I had a great experience buying a used one on the forum. Make sure you see pics or can see it in person. I went with pics since it was out of state and I had my daughter and son-in-law pick it up for me. Folks on the forum and pretty up and up and are loyal to the brand.
I would say prices on the forum seem to be lower this time of year and will only generate more interest in the warmer months...thus raising prices.
