Tints?

Getting windows tinted next month in Indiana, what did everyone go with? Should I get front windshield done also? Thanks

definitely front windshield IMO. the darker you go the more it makes sense to do the front for the contrast difference.

I'm in AZ so we all get away with the limo tint which I have done every vehicle I've ever had. front windshield is not limo, but I do go 2 shades up from the lightest.

I went with 20% on mine. I like it fine. I quit doing the windshield eye brow years ago when the shop broke my windshield taking the rear view mirror off my 1 day old 2015 F150 platinum. Probley can do it without taking the mirror off though.

I’m in Illinois. I’ve always went with matching the rear factory tint and a brow on the windshield on all my vehicles. Nobody has bothered me about tint. If I had a black vehicles though, maybe I would be more cautious.

You could go with Xpel Prime XR Plus or just the Prime XR. I’m doing all 4 windows, back window and windshield in a few weeks.

XR Plus is the most expensive so I’m going with that for the windshield and Prime XR for the rest.

lol... yeah I meant the windshield. I tint the front windows(driver/passenger) as dark as can be...

Maybe a long shot but here in indy there is a place called Pro Tint at about 69th and Guion Rd. This guy is amazing. Well worth the drive for a guaranteed solid job.

It surprisingly caught me off guard that tinting the front windows to match the back ones does limit your night time vision. Making turns into intersections at night with someone wearing all dark clothing could be an issue depending on your location.
It looks better in the day. Went with a ceramic 20% front windows.
Also I've read that front windshields tint owners have reported a halo effect from the headlights of oncoming vehicles.

Check your local laws first if you don't want to be hassled by the police. Some do not allow any windshield tint, other than the way it came from the factory, and some have a limit on darkness for side and rear windows.
