I was driving on the freeway yesterday traveling at about 70-75 MPH and I drove over a mild hump or transition (smooth road to not so smooth road and back to smooth again) and as soon as that happened, the Jeep started shaking uncontrollably and it felt like the wheels were about to literally...
I also forgot to mention that in order to make the noises, lights and wipers stop I disconnected the negative terminal on the battery. It’s still disconnected out in the garage.
Thanks man. When I said tested what I actually did was try jumping it with my other vehicle and it didn’t solve anything. I took this as the battery wasn’t the issue but it sounds like I’m wrong indeed.
I went to start my 2020 JL and it wouldn’t turn over. Tried this multiple times with no luck. Texted the battery and it’s good. Then all of my electrical started flashing, headlights and wipers turned on and wouldn’t stop no matter if I pushed the start/stop button. I went under the hood again...
I made them give me the print out of the diagnostics so I need to look through it as it’s like 10 pages long. I called Oracle and they’re going to be working with me to see if we can find a solution.
just wondering if I should also go ahead and get a Tazer too.
Yeah they were working fine except for the hyper flashing turn signals and the occasional BSM not picking up small cars. Then all of a sudden this happened while coming home from a road trip two weeks in a row.
No I’m not sure how to do that. Tazer? I only took it to the dealer because all the other stuff that was happening. Even my power top wouldn’t work. Not sure how that could be caused by the taillights.
Took it to the dealer and they immediately pointed at these lights as the cause. They said the showed 42 error codes on the diagnostic report with the lights plugged in and zero codes when they unplugged the lights.
This hyper flash, does it consist of the radio screen along with the backlighting behind the A/C and radio controller blinking repeatedly? Ours did that and then they turned off completely driving down the freeway.
I’m trying to get the dealer to flash the Jeep to get the lights to be recognized but I called 4 different dealers and they all say they can’t do that. Is the tazer just as effective as the flash by dealer?
Yeah it’s pretty crazy. I called Oracle and they said I was the only person that they’re aware of that is having this issue.
it’s not that I don’t believe the dealer, but I actually don’t. They said I can put the stock ones back on to see if the same issues are present so that’s my next step.
Just got off the phone with the service department and low and behold, they said it’s due to the Oracle flush mount taillights that’s causing all of the electrical issues. I’m beyond livid as I was having electrical issues long before I installed these lights.
it’s my fault for leaving them on...
Dropped it at the dealer this morning. There were about 42 error codes showing on the diagnostic reading. They were also talking about my “aftermarket” taillights and that’s going to really piss me off if they blame this issue on that.
