Recently, there is a ticking sound coming from behind the dash. It is definitely electrical because it happens with the engine running and stopped as long as the switch is on AUX or RUN.

Anyone have a clue of what it may be?

Sounds like a defective car bomb to me.

But seriously, it could be a lot of things. Narrowing down the vicinity of where its coming from would be helpful. Removing some dash panels could help with that.

Do you have a Tazer Mini?
I was getting a ticking noise from behind the dash also, coming from the driver side. Not a vibration, but ticking at a regular frequency, and not as loud as a bad blender motor. I pulled the Tazer and the ticking went away. After a software update I reinstalled the Tazer and the ticking has not returned. Could be a coincidence, but I'm glad the ticking is gone.

I do have one and I was wondering if that was it because the sound is coming from that area where it is located.

The software update--was it for the Tazer or the Jeep?

I flashed my Tazer and though the ticking happens less frequently, it has returned. My next step is to remove it and use a JSCAN to set my configuration and see if that was the root of the ticking or if the Tazer was causing something else to tick. I cannot imagine what would even be able to make a ticking sound under the dash. All of the relays and the like (to my knowledge) are electrical and not mechanical.

I also plan to reach out to ZAutomotive once I confirm the Tazer is the source.

Tazer has been completely removed and the ticking continues. A few others have posted about it, but no one has posted the solution.

Anyone know?
