I've been running doorless with just the safari top so far this summer. Two things I've discovered.

1.) I use that dead pedal on right-hand turns more than I realized.
2.) A cheap covering that you can quickly deploy provides some peace-of-mind when you have to park in unpredictable weather.

I really enjoyed it but wow. Yeah this is best left for trails. Daily driving around town was a bit intense. Especially on the highway. I'm a big guy too. Which means I tend to...start to....fall out when making right turns. HAH! Still, looks great! (doors now back on, windows I keep off)

You get used to it. Eventually 3 or 4 hours topless/doorless on the highway, while tiring from the wind noise, is nothing from a nerves perspective.
Yeah, first time I went doorless, I almost shit my pants!

And even then, once I got used to it after a couple days, I still had trouble putting my foot out the door on the peg for like two or three months before I felt comfortable doing that.

Now, it feels awkward to not have my foot on the peg out the door.

You get used to the wind, but depending what state you live in driving it highway speeds can be difficult without ear protection.

Might look into getting some ear protection for at least your driver side ear.

I never feel like I'm going to fall out on corners, maybe I'm not taking them fast enough. With the doors on, are you guys leaning into your door on corners...I would expect so if you feel like you'd fall out with the doors off.

Same here.

Perhaps the absence of doors plays a mind trick on some folks, giving them the perception that they're falling out during turns, when in fact no such thing is occurring.

After having them off for so long then putting the doors back on, I'm a bit claustrophobic.

im sure their is a bunch of different ear plugs you can get but, i sometimes will use cotton in my ears. Used to do this on my motorcycle if i was going on a trip and going to be on the freeway all day. It deadened the wind noise enough, and i actually found that i could hear what was going on around me better.

Once you lose hearing in that ear it's not a problem anymore.

I'm headed that way. My dad is like that. Significant hearing lose in his left ear... Give you one guess as to why!

I find on no windy days, the airflow around the Jeep is less in your ear if you have the back windows down as well, and even more so if you take the rear and side read soft top windows off.

With all the windows down and off, the wind seems to enter the vehicle behind the rear seats at highway speeds. 🤗
