So this morning I found and start my Jeep to warm it up and when I closed the door this fell out from under the Jeep. I think from the engine bay area. Any ideas of what it is. Thanks for your input.

Is there a part number on the inside of that cap? I lost mine and the parts guy at the dealer can't find it in the computer to order a replacement?

That's your 6th tire. It mounts under the driver's side door. Not a big deal really.

Based on the look of the threads and shape...I guessing it's a temporary gas cap.

2 knobs on top for twisting and the threads look like gas cap threads.

It's a plug that goes in the firewall where the clutch would be if you have the automatic.

That is the firewall plug you will find the hole where it belongs driver side about the same level as your steering wheel shaft
