I have a 21 JLUR and I make quite a few really long drives a year. I have leather seats now and they absolutely kill my tailbone after a couple of hours. Do the cloth seats have more cushion than the leather ones? I am considering all options here, factory cloth, aftermarket corbeau or prp, just something more comfortable. I am driving from Missouri to Ft Lauderdale in July and want to have them changed out by then. Whatever I change to can’t be any taller though, my head already can hit the sound bar with it lowered all the way down.

I can't imagine why the cloth seats would have more cushion than the leather seats, unless they have to pull/stretch the leather so tight it compresses the cushion...? This seems like a question that would have to be asked directly to Jeep Chrysler. I do have the cloth seats (2023 sport) and find them to very comfortable, no complaints at all, I wouldn't change a thing about them.

Best of luck

You could get bartact covers and find a foam insert

Have you tried the seat jackers? The jl seats sit extremely flat which causes more pressure on the tail bone. The seat jackets allow the seat to come down in the back and give better support though the hamstrings.

I'm not sure if this is true or not, as I've never had a four door, but I read many accounts of the 2 door front seats being more comfortable. They have different frames.

I did a little research on these and just went out and put some 1/2” spacers under the front of the seat and will see if that makes any difference.

I’m guessing it should help. I tend to run my pick up truck really low in the back and up in the front. I can 100% drive my Silverado for hours on end without issues. My jeep I love to drive but hours and hours I tend to get extremely stiff in my lower back. I find it due to the seat not being reclined. If my wife didn’t drive the jeepnid have the seat jackers in. She actually is the one that help me figure out what my back pain comes from thank god I married a physical therapist :)

You may want to try a donut pillow. They make them to relieve tailbone pressure/pain.
Donut pillows are best for hemorrhoid pain relief. The OP might consider a Coccyx cushion, which more precisely relieves discomfort associated with the lower back and/or tailbone. I use one in my home office for that very purpose.

Yes, the donut pillows I am talking about are specifically for Coccyx relief. I used to have to use one at work and in the car.

Seat pads are exactly the same. So there's no difference in cushion between leather and cloth. Leather is a stiffer cover, but it's not going to change how your butt and back feel the seat...your body weight is like 10x more than what is needed to make the leather "yield".
