Automatic Xs come with the Xtreme 35 Package, which includes Steel knuckles. The Manual X does not include or have the option to add the 35 Xtreme Package, so it has aluminum knuckles. I'm guessing you have a manual transmission.
Just curious, does yours have FAD deleted?

I'm trying to decide if I should upgrade to iron knuckles and new ball joints, or simply trade up to a 2024+ Xtreme 35 Rubicon.

My Jeep is perfect as is but I still am too cautious with that front axles when I wheel. Plus the aluminum knuckles cause an annoying clicking when turning sometimes.
Same here!
I just broke my stock trussed axle in two right at the front axle disconnect! taking the down hill face of a dune too fast.:( both wheels facing upwards!

Luckily, I didnt break or bend anything else!
so now im replacing the axle with a 1/2 DOM terraflex unit swapping all my RCV /locker/ gears into it! While at it upgrading the Alum. knuckles to the Mohavie Iron ones:)

wondering if I should do BJ's as well hmmm

Sounds like the perfect time to swap in new Ball Joints!

The baller joints would be the top end upgrade:

"wondering if I should do BJ's as well hmmm" This is kinda weird. Are you considering swapping in you old ball joints? The new axle is going to need ball joints no matter what.

I would definitely upgrade. I can't imagine paying someone to press BJs out instead of putting that money towards something better. Pressing BJs out is about as fun as a splinter in your, well.........

YUP unfortunatly I'M NOT a "baller" at that price :( I gotta buy a new axle! uhhhh!!
You people Did all the work and upgrades to this jeep! (Krokem Outdoors)
The only other one worth buying is the same price as the Baller Joints so its not like you can really spend less and get as quality of a product.
