Thank you and advice

First off thank you. I’m new to this page and have only owned a wrangler a few months. I have instantly fell in love with it and have been doing some upgrades from past mistreatment. It’s a 2002 4.0L


I could use some advice. I have to replace the steering gear which I have notice is leaking. Now. After a little research I have found out that some 2002 had steering fluid while others had ATF-4. Now, since I’m replacing it can I run the ATF-4?
