No idea about how it happened but they ran over the handicap parking sign that was there before they launched onto the bolder. This was at the very top of Haleakal’a volcano in Maui. It could be that the altitude effected the driver or that they simply put it in drive instead of reverse and then panicked when it went forward instead of backwards.

Believe it or not, when I saw your picture, I thought that might be Haleakala.
