Question about flex/articulation

Hey guys id really appreciate any information or opinions on this please. I just installed a lift on my 9 jlu. It was a 3 inch lift but currently measuring 4 inches over stock, im guessing it will settle. My question is if i go to 315/70/17 tires will i still be able to flex and articulate well? This is not a mall crawler. I bought the lift after riding and even with the factory 285/70s i kept lifting tires off the ground. Im wondering if i should just stick with the factory bfgs or go to 35s to help raise the axles for clearance to. Any thoughts and opinions are welcome please.
