It seems like every time I'm offroading and the weather is hot as heck or freezing my temp gauge is stuck at a temp it displayed hours or even the day before. I just finished a trip to Colorado (Black Bear, Imogene, Engineer, Poughkeepsie etc...) followed several days in Moab and as usual the temp gauge quit working in both areas. Anyone else have this issue?

just found this thread; have experienced a similar issue twice now.
will be on the trail, and notice the (outside) Temp Gauge is indicating 20+ºF below reality; seems to go away as soon as i get back up to speed on the road.

will keep snooping around; but has anyone else seen this?

where is the Ambient Air Temp Sensor located on these beasts?

Yep - mine too has this issue. Was wheeling yesterday and ambient temperature was stuck until the return drive home.

I have had this 2-3 times as well. In my case the outside temperature shows 75 degrees and the vents blow hot unless I have the A/C on. This happens regardless of what I set the desired temperature to. Even at it's lowest setting (62) it blows hot while showing outside temperature at 75. This is triggered by off roading and has stayed "stuck" for days...

Good or bad, this is by design. The outside air temp will go lower at slow speeds, but it will not go higher until you get up some speed. I think the a/c issue you experienced is a separate issue.

Ummm, no. With temps in the 80's the outside air read exactly 75 degrees. It didn't go up or down as I drove but stayed rock solid on 75 degrees. For several days. Several times. I suspect a loose sensor connection but by the time I took it to the dealer it had begun normal behavior..

The ambient outside temperature value will not change while in 4-low.
