I have 25 rubi X that came without the aux switches. I have added the switches and need to activate them. This can be done by paying the dealer, jscan, alfaobd, or a tazer. I was leaning towards the tazer, but concerned about taking the Jeep to the dealer.

The tazer would be used to activate the aux switches, remove the triple honk, remove stop / start, and fog lights with high beams, maybe some drl settings. Is this something that would have to be reset / redone every time I go to the dealer? Oil change etc?

Can you leave it in until a major issue comes up? Are most users getting the additional cable or can the tazer be installed and uninstalled easily?

Thank you

Yes and no.

Some settings are lost when Tazer is unmarried. You don't have to unmarry to remove Tazer for dealer visits, but you should if the dealer is doing certain module updates.

Kill3Honk and Stop/Start button memory are Live Functions, so Tazer has to be plugged in for them to work, but they don't have to be redone after an unmarry/remarry.

Killhonk3 works half the time for me. Plugged in 100% of the time and married. Very frustrating because it's the main reason I bought it. I need to open a case with their support but frustrated I have to take time to do that. I've tired everythihg in the videos..sleep cycles, reboots, etc. Maybe my rig is just hard-headed and doesn't like to be told what to do...kinda like me lol

My dealer told me to go ahead and leave it in during service. They made a note of it and would let me know if they had to remove it for a service. At the time the service department all knew me because we did things together.

No dealer is going to care that you have a Tazer installed unless they are diagnosing something related to the SGW Module. They see them all the time. Just leave it be. You’ll be good!
